The adapter is made using OE parts to adapt the existing “Premium” headlight connector to the new “Global” headlight connector.

These adapters only allow retrofitting Matrix lights for 2021 or 2022 refresh Palladium Hardware 3 cars which didn’t come with them from the factory.

Release Tip
Also, the 14 Pin connector body is harder to unclip than the former headlight. A small screwdriver inserted in front of the release lever and turned slightly will allow a proper release. If pushed too hard, the release clip on the OE connector can break.
